Welcome to The Cove Counseling!
Meet our team!
Hello…and welcome to The Cove Counseling! My name is Cassandra Mielcarek and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Northern Indiana. Most know me by my short name- Cassie. I graduated from Northcentral University in 2019 with my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am now currently enrolled in their Doctorate of Marriage and Family Therapy program. Prior to my graduate program, I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana State University, with minors in Music and Psychology. While I have many passions, I am so thankful for the path that brought me where I am, and I cannot wait to help you on your therapy journey!
Fun facts:
I have 2 wonderful daughters who are my pride and joy.
I love to run. And then sometimes I don’t (if you know, you know). You’ll find either myself or my oldest daughter running in local 5k’s during the warmer months.
I love to sing, and between myself and my youngest daughter, our shower has heard way too many renditions of popular Jonas Brother’s songs. And maybe a little more Taylor Swift lately than I care to admit. I have the honor of playing piano and singing alongside some very talented musicians at my church on Sundays. Music has my heart.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me…I can’t wait to meet you and learn about what makes you, YOU.
Hi,
My name is Rick Reagan and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. I graduated with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling. I have also completed 400 hours of intensive training in Integral Hypnotherapy and earned the designation as a Nationally Certified Counselor with the National Board of Clinical Counselors.
My desire is to provide every client with the tools to create a happy, healthy and successful life. I believe everyone deserves to experience life free from painful emotional upsets.
Perhaps you have consulted with other mental health professional, identified your triggers and uncovered the root cause of your problems, yet you still struggle to make significant changes.
I combine a variety of methods including EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Integral Hypnotherapy. Using evidence based, client centered approaches has proven to aid clients in overcoming past negative issues quickly and successfully.
Together we will develop a plan to improve your sense of wellbeing, increase confidence, strengthen relationships and to cultivate a greater sense of purpose and direction, as you achieve our goals.

What’s therapy like?
It’s a little different everywhere you go. You’ll find my approach to be collaborative and fun, but productive and challenging. My hope is that you will feel a sense of belonging and empathy. We will laugh and cry and everything in between. I truly believe that everyone I work with has potential to be their best self. And we can gently get there together.
I enjoy learning about the meanings people have created for their lives and it is such an honor to help people discover new meanings that are more positive and fulfilling. You’ll find out fairly quickly that I offer a laid-back approach for a more comfortable therapeutic atmosphere. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” process, and I look forward to helping you identify the tools and supports that work best for you. I take a systemic approach to treatment, which focuses on relationships as a way to meet your needs in therapy. This includes family, work, school, etc.
